Cross River Announces Investment Banking Initiative

Cross River says it has launched its “investment banking strategy,” describing the initiative as a significant milestone in the company’s history.

The company said it will now assist its clients in achieving their goals by advising them on decisions like mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and other financial decisions.

The Investment Banking team will be a part of CRB Securities, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of CRB Group Inc, a bank holding company, and the parent company of Cross River Bank. The team will be led by Benjamin Samuels and Henry Pinnell as Co-Heads of Investment Banking.

Cross River CEO Gilles Gade said Samuels and Pinnell are tasked with enhancing their product offerings for their Fintech partners “enabling us to solve the distinct needs of each and every client.”

Samuels was previously co-head of Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley. Pinnell joins as Co-Head of Investment Banking from SVB Securities, where he was a Senior Managing Director and led the Fintech Investment Banking effort.

CRB Securities has primarily focused on assisting clients with privately placed credit transactions, including asset-backed securities.

Cross River is a Fintech that provides infrastructure powering the future of financial services, including core banking products.
