Cerebras Raised Money on StartEngine, Files S-1 to Pursue IPO

Cerebras, an artificial intelligence enabler, sold securities using the StartEngine platform. Part of its private deal room, the offering was opened to accredited investors who are allowed to invest alongside well known VCs.

According to StartEngine, Series Cerebras 1 and 2 sold out on the StartEngine Private platform.

The most recent listing of Cerebras shares indicates that almost $850,000 was raised on the StartEngine platform.

Cerebras claims to compete with NVIDIA in the hot AI chip market. Cerebras’ processor is said to be “Theoretically Equivalent to 62 NVIDIA H100 GPUs.”

Over $720 million has been raised by private investors for Cerebras.

In announcing the potential IPO, Cerebras has not disclosed the size and price range for a potential offering. If an IPO is pursued, early investors may be able to benefit from a possible exit.

Private securities issued under Reg D are only available for accredited investors. Many securities crowdfunding platforms offer these types of investments, as they frequently involve more mature firms and are vetted by established professional investors.
