Italian Banca Sella now provides Bitcoin (BTC) trading.
Established back in 1886, Banca Sella is one of the most well-known banking institutions in Italy. Its mobile banking platform, known as Hype, now also includes a Bitcoin trading service as it operates with more than 1.2 million users.
Hype customer service announced:
“The service is currently in beta testing for a small group of Hype Plus (premium) customers. In a few days, it will be available to all customers.”
Users do not need to access an exchange to trade bitcoin because this service enables them to trade BTC directly via its Hype platform.
The trading will be supported through Hype. The mobile platform has been a joint initiative between Banca Sella Holding and Illimity Bank since 2021. The partnership has seen the platform become one of the most well-known and utilized financial digital services in the European nation.
The update will enable Italian BTC holders to easily buy or sell the leading digital asset.
During the past five years, bitcoin trading and investing has become quite popular. Although there are other cryptocurrencies like Ethereum, Binance Coin (BNB), Litecoin, Dogecoin, among many others, BTC remains the most reliable option. In fact, Bitcoin dominance is at its highest level since the past few years according to CoinMarketCap data.
Despite the launch of numerous virtual currencies, BTC remains the preferred choice amongst experienced retail and institutional investors. The flagship crypto is notably among the best-performing assets since the past decade. Many more Americans and Europeans have become familiar with the potential benefits of Bitcoin and other digital assets. They may form part of a balanced investment portfolio, according to many analysts.
However, the industry is still in its early stages of development and adoption and may benefit from better regulations and compliance processes. A lot more needs be done to address the rise in crypto scams and hacks as well so that the industry can grow in a sustainable manner.
