Wefunder Updates Platform with New Features

Wefunder, one of the top FINRA-regulated Funding Portals in the US, has added several new features to its online investment platform.

In an email, Wefunder noted that a new feature allows users to receive alerts whenever a type of issuer lists on the platform. Wefunder, which has long partnered with Y-Combinator, said, “Get notified anytime a YC startup or a local restaurant launches on Wefunder” … or more by creating bespoke filters.

Investors may now also create a personalized offering page to customize which offerings are presented.

Another new feature is location. An investor can explore companies based on a map view. As is well known, many investors prefer to back a firm that is near to their location. This also can hold true for VC firms.

Wefunder continues to be one of the leaders in issuer raising money under Reg CF, a securities exemption that allows anyone to invest and a company to raise up to $5 million.

Wefunder is also active in Europe having registered an extension of its platform to take advantage of new pan-European rules where firms can raise up to €5 million across all member states.

In Q2 2024, Wefunder reported $5,215,302 in top-line revenue and a $1,739,610 profit.
