Ultravioleta, Nubank’s (NYSE: NU) high-income customer experience, launches today a series of Bank Deposit Certificates (CDBs, from the acronym in Portuguese) with more competitive yield rates than those already available in the app.
According to the website, Ultraviliot card cashback may grow at twice the value of the Interbank Deposit Certificate (CDI).
The expansion of CDB offerings for Nubank Ultravioleta customers aims “to impact investors seeking security, high returns, and a variety of maturity terms.”
The Brazilian Credit Guarantee Fund (FGC) guarantees “investments in this fixed-income product for deposits up to BRL 250 thousand.”
Guilherme Espallargas, head of the investment area at Nubank:
“Expanding the offer of fixed income with higher yield rates and different terms is a fundamental step so Ultravioleta clients can build an attractive and diversified investment portfolio at Nubank.”
Nubank Ultravioleta customers can find exclusive investment opportunities through both the “Benefícios Ultravioleta” area and the Investments tab in the app.
When exploring investment products in the app, users are always presented with opportunities via “Investimentos de Destaque” and can also apply the “Ultravioleta” filter to be shown these exclusive options.
Expanding high-yield fixed-income opportunities exclusive “to Ultravioleta customers adds to a vast shelf already available to all Nubank customer segments.”
The investment experience in the Nubank app, in addition “to dozens of options in CDBs and Credit Bills (real estate and agribusiness), includes Tesouro Direto (treasury securities), various investment funds, real estate funds, ETFs, and specific variable income assets (stocks and BDRs).”
All Nubank customers also have access “to a wide range of strategies from Nu Asset Management, Nu’s investment funds manager.”
These include ETFs and various profile funds, “with Nu Reserva Planejada standing out in fixed income, boasting returns above 120% of CDI over the past 12 months.”
In addition to these investment options, any Nubank customer also “has the option to buy and sell cryptocurrencies in the app through the Nubank Cripto experience.”
