Bahrain Fintech Bay (BFB), a financial technology hub, announced the establishment of the MENA Innovation Academy (MENA-IA) to enhance Fintech expertise and career readiness across the Middle East and North Africa region.
The academy is launched in partnership with Reboot Coding Institute (Reboot01), an academic institution known for its industry-aligned curriculum and advanced training programs.
This collaboration aims to provide high-quality education by combining the strengths of both organizations.
MENA-IA will also collaborate with top global universities to offer a diverse range of courses, including Fintech, Insurtech, Regtech, digital transformation, strategy and leadership, and technical subjects.
This comprehensive approach is designed to equip participants with both broad industry knowledge and specialized technical skills.
The inaugural program will be led by the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley) and its Berkeley-AMENA Entrepreneurship and Development initiative.
Recognized globally for research in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big data—especially in finance-related areas—UC Berkeley will deliver and certify a course on Artificial Intelligence in Fintech.
The eight-week program, starting on November 18, is tailored for non-technical professionals to learn applied uses of generative AI tools within financial institutions.
Applications for the program are now open, with limited spaces for 50 participants to ensure a focused learning experience. The course will be delivered through a hybrid model, and interested individuals are encouraged to register via the academy’s website.
This program is one of many planned for the upcoming year. MENA-IA is committed to offering a variety of courses and workshops that address the evolving needs of professionals in the financial and technology sectors.
