Digital Assets: Garanti BBVA, Ripple, IBM to Enhance Performance and Security of Its Digital Platform

Garanti BBVA Kripto aims to provide high performance, security, and customer trust standards of digital assets by entering strategic collaborations with Ripple through the service received from its subsidiary and IBM, for the safe custody of its digital asset trading platform, which reportedly serves more than 14,000 users.

Garanti BBVA Kripto has worked cooperatively with Ripple and IBM to offer a secure environment for its crypto-assets trading platform.

After a successful pilot carried out last year, the bank is now rolling out the service to its entire customer base, leveraging technology collaborations to continue to deliver the “highest standards of performance, security, and customer trust.”

The solution from Ripple Custody and IBM enabled the bank to securely build, deploy and manage institutional-grade key management infrastructure with end-to-end security to “protect private keys, applications and data.”

The advanced security capabilities embedded within this solution include data encryption, isolation of customer environments, “embedded Hardware Security Modules with the highest security certification, and a versatile governance framework that removes single points of compromise and helps mitigate the risks associated with malicious actors.”

Ripple, the provider of digital asset infrastructure, has also recently announced a partnership with the International Rescue Committee (IRC), one of the humanitarian organizations helping people affected by crises to survive, recover and rebuild their lives.

As covered, Former FDIC Chair Sheila Bair, Vice Chairman of Partners Capital and former CENTRE Consortium CEO David Puth, and Ripple Executive Chair Chris Larsen have reportedly joined the RLUSD Advisory Board.

As reported recently, Ripple, the provider of digital asset infrastructure, announced the launch of new features and functionality to Ripple Custody, bringing the benefits of “bank-grade” custody technology to fintechs and crypto natives.

As revealed earlier this month, enterprise blockchain firm Ripple’s “end-to-end” payments solution is now available in first Latin America market. Ripple, the provider of digital asset infrastructure, has officially announced the launch of Ripple Payments in Brazil.
