Klarna, the AI powered global payments network and shopping assistant, and John Lewis & Partners have partnered to bring Klarna to JohnLewis.com and the John Lewis app.
John Lewis’ customers can now choose to check out with Klarna’s interest-free Pay in 3 product enabling shoppers to “spread the cost of their purchases” over a more manageable period of 60 days.
The first payment is made at the time of purchase, followed by “two subsequent payments at 30-day intervals.”
Andy Piggott, Director of Credit and Banking at John Lewis Money said that they’re committed to making it easier for customers to “manage their budgets with a range of flexible and secure ways to pay.”
Piggott added that Klarna has become a go-to payment option “for everything from beauty and fashion through to homewear and electronics – they hope that the introduction of Klarna will make John Lewis even more accessible and help attract a new customer that may not have traditionally shopped with them.”
Raji Behal, Head of Western and Southern Europe at Klarna, said that John Lewis, a beloved British institution, is renowned for its quality, wide selection, and exceptional service.”
Behal added that they’re pleased to offer their customers a better way to pay, with their interest-free BNPL “helping shoppers manage their finances and make smarter purchases.”

Klarna is now available at half of the UK’s “top 100” retailers.
This year, high street icons such as Argos, Habitat, Boots and WHSmith joined Klarna as more and more consumers “turn to interest-free BNPL.”
Klarna, the UK’s BNPL provider has seen its average customer profile change over time, with the “average age of a Klarna customer now 38, with 65+ bringing its fastest growing demographic.”
Klarna has 10 million active consumers in the UK who “on average spend £80 per transaction.”
