Online investment platform Mintos says it has added short-term rental apartments to its real estate offerings.
Martins Sulte, CEO and co-founder of Mintos, said they are opening the doors to a sector once out of reach for ordinary investors.
“Through our real estate offerings, retail investors can enjoy the benefits of rental income and capital appreciation without the hassles of property ownership and management,” said Sulte.
The short-term rentals are for investing in properties listed on Airbnb and Booking.com. Mintos notes that the investments arrive without the hassles of property management.
Mintos allows investors to start with only €50, and currently, yields are generating between 6% to 8%. There is also the possibility of capital appreciation. Investors may also sell the securities on the Mintos Secondary Market.
Available properties will be located across Europe, starting with apartments in the heart of Riga, Latvia.
Mintos is mainly a debt-focused platform that currently offers access to loans, bonds, ETFs, real estate, and “Smart Cash.”
The Central Bank of Latvia regulates Mintos.
