StartEngine Touts its StartEngine Private Platform as Driving Investment, Revenue

StartEngine, a full stack securities crowdfunding platform, is raising money for itself on its own platform. One of the key selling points to invest in the platform is its private deal room or StartEngine Private where investors can purchase securities in Reg D offerings. Typcially these are more established private firms.

StartEngine shares the following information on the private securities platform:

  • In the first nine months of 2024, StartEngine Private has driven $16.5M of a revenue stream “that didn’t exist last year.”
  • StartEngine Private has nearly doubled their revenue – or a 199% YoY growth for the first  9 months.

For the most recent listing on StartEngine Private, the company reports the offer sold one million in the first hour. The average investment was $32,162.

StartEngine notes that StartEngine Private, launched in November 2023,  has generated $16.5 million of revenue, or more than half of the platform’s total for the first 9 months of 2024. At the same time, net loss increased by 30% to $13.8 million.

The current funding round for StartEngine has raised almost $3 million, according to the offering page. While the Reg D offerings on StartEngine Private are open only to accredited investors, StartEngine is raising money under the Reg A securities exemption which is open to anyone.
