Chevron Corporation announced a total contribution of $1 million to three organizations supporting wildfire relief efforts in California.
The donation is allocated among the California Fire Foundation, the American National Red Cross, and the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce Small Business Disaster Recovery Fund.
According to Chevron, the aim is to address both the immediate and long-term needs of communities impacted by the ongoing wildfires.
The largest portion, $500,000, will go to the California Fire Foundation to bolster resources for first responders and to extend financial assistance to residents directly affected by the fires.
An additional $250,000 has been earmarked for the American National Red Cross, supporting essential services such as food, shelter, clothing, emotional support, and direct financial aid for impacted families.
The remaining $250,000 will be given to the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce to aid in small business recovery efforts, promote community engagement, and advocate for initiatives related to disaster relief and rebuilding programs.
In addition to the direct donations, Chevron plans to match eligible contributions made by its employees and retirees to wildfire relief efforts.
The company also intends to provide additional funds to organizations where its employees volunteer. This multifaceted approach is designed to offer a support network through various channels, ensuring that both local communities and workers on the front lines receive resources needed to recover and rebuild.
With a heritage in California dating back more than 145 years, Chevron maintains a significant presence in the state.
Its activities include operating crude oil fields, running technical facilities and pipeline assets, and managing two refineries.
The company also supplies over 1,800 retail stations across California. Through this extensive network, Chevron aims to maintain a strong connection to the communities in which it operates.

Beyond producing crude oil and natural gas, the company manufactures transportation fuels, lubricants, petrochemicals, and additives. It continues to develop technologies that enhance both its traditional operations and its emerging lower-carbon business lines.
The California Fire Foundation, established in 1987 by California Professional Firefighters, is a non-profit organization recognized under section 501(c)(3).
It provides support to families of fallen firefighters and assists the broader community in times of crisis. Its mandate includes a range of survivor and victim assistance initiatives, complementing the front-line services that firefighters deliver in response to disasters like the ongoing wildfires.
