Cowbell, a provider of cyber insurance for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), is pleased to announce that it is strengthening its UK middle market product offering.
Cowbell announced the appointment of James Porter as Lead Underwriter for the UK’s middle market segment.
In his new role, Porter will lead a team to deliver tailored cyber insurance solutions that “address the unique needs of UK businesses.”
Simon Hughes, SVP, Global Distribution, at Cowbell said:

He started his career at Clegg Gifford & Co. as an underwriting assistant.
Porter added:
“The middle market in the UK represents a dynamic and growing segment, and I look forward to working with our partners to ensure that robust cyber insurance is available to businesses of all sizes.”

In its AI-based approach in risk selection and pricing, Cowbell’s continuous underwriting platform, “powered by its patented risk rating factors, Cowbell Factors – an offering not available with any other cyber insurance provider – compresses the insurance process from submission to issue in less than 5 minutes, and gives businesses with the ability to benchmark their IT security against industry peers.”
