Panelists for First Crypto Roundtable at SEC

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) intends to hold a series of roundtables to discuss the digital asset ecosystem and how the agency should regulate crypto. Prior to the announcement of roundtables, the SEC revealed a new Crypto Task Force led by Commissioner Hester Peirce. The first roundtable, entitled “How We Got Here and How We Get Out—Defining Security Status,” will be held on March 21, 2025, at the SEC HQ.

Commissioner Peirce stated at the time of the announcement that “The roundtables are an important part of our engagement with the public.”

The participants in the roundtable are longtime digital asset insiders, including:

  • Collins Belton – Managing Partner, Brookwood P.C.
  • Sarah Brennan – General Counsel, Delphi Ventures
  • Chris Brummer – Professor of Financial Technology, Georgetown Law
  • Lewis Cohen – Co-Chair, CahillNXT

  • Teresa Goody Guillen – Partner, BakerHostetler
  • Miles Jennings – General Counsel, a16z crypto
  • Troy Paredes – (Moderator). Founder, Paredes Strategies LLC
