KuCoin Thailand, Finansia Syrus Partner to Expand Access to Digital Assets

Cryptocurrency exchange KuCoin has partnered with Thai brokerage Finansia Syrus Securities PCL to boost access to regulated digital asset trading in Thailand, a move that underscores the growing convergence between traditional finance and crypto markets in Southeast Asia.

The partnership, involving KuCoin Thailand (operated by ERX Company Ltd.), allows Finansia Syrus to refer its clients to KuCoin’s regulated local platform.

The deal combines Finansia’s capital market reach with KuCoin’s blockchain infrastructure and trading services, and is seen as a key step in the crypto exchange’s regional expansion strategy.

KuCoin Thailand operates under the oversight of Thailand’s Securities and Exchange Commission, one of the few regulatory regimes in the region with a licensing system for digital asset platforms.

The exchange said it offers a secure, compliant environment for trading crypto assets, aimed at both retail and institutional investors.

The tie-up comes amid rising digital asset adoption in Thailand, where the market is supported by a well-defined regulatory framework and a growing base of tech-savvy investors.

Finansia Syrus, one of the country’s leading financial services firms, offers brokerage, advisory and fund management services and has been actively exploring ways to diversify into digital finance.

Founded in 2017, KuCoin serves more than 41 million users across over 200 countries and offers services in spot and derivatives trading, wealth management, crypto wallets, and research.

It was listed among the Top 50 Global Unicorns by Hurun in 2024 and has been named one of Forbes’ top crypto exchanges.

The partnership, KuCoin said, adds to its efforts to build regulated footprints in key global markets by working with local financial institutions.

It also reflects a broader industry trend in which traditional finance players are increasingly entering the digital asset space through collaborations with established crypto platforms.
