Robinhood (NASDAQ: HOOD) has revealed a series of updates, supporting its mission to democratize finance.
From crypto to partnerships and community initiatives, the company aims to redefine its role as a full-service financial services and investing platform.
During the “Robinhood Presents: To Catch a Token” event in Cannes, France, on June 30, 2025, the company introduced a series of crypto products aimed at transforming global investing.
The launch of Robinhood Stock Tokens will support over 400 million eligible customers across 30 EU and EEA countries, enabling them to gain exposure to more than 200 U.S. stocks and ETFs, including well known firms like as Nvidia, Apple, Microsoft, OpenAI, and SpaceX.
These tokens, initially issued on the Arbitrum blockchain and set to migrate to Robinhood’s Layer 2 blockchain, offer zero-commission trading, dividend support, and 24/5 access, making U.S. equities more accessible to European investors.
The forthcoming Robinhood Layer 2 blockchain, built on Arbitrum’s tech stack, is designed to optimize tokenized real-world assets, supporting seamless bridging, self-custody, and round-the-clock trading.
Robinhood wants to be a bridge between traditional finance and decentralized systems, with CEO Vlad Tenev emphasizing crypto’s potential to become “the backbone of the global financial system.”
Robinhood is also expanding its crypto offerings with perpetual futures for EU customers, offering up to 3x leverage through Bitstamp’s exchange, and crypto staking for U.S. customers, starting with Ethereum and Solana.
These features, set to be fully rolled out by summer’s end, aim to simplify complex trading with intuitive interfaces.
Additional enhancements include smart exchange routing for optimal pricing, tax lot management for strategic crypto trading, and advanced charting tools from Robinhood Legend, which will extend to mobile crypto trading by August 2025.
Beyond crypto, Robinhood is integrating artificial intelligence to improve the user experience.
The introduction of Cortex, an AI-powered investing assistant, will provide Robinhood Gold members with real-time market insights and trend analysis directly within token detail pages, set to launch later in 2025.
The acquisition of Bitstamp and WonderFi further bolsters Robinhood’s global crypto footprint, adding institutional-grade services and expanding its reach in Canada and beyond.
