Fintech Architecture Provider BKN301 Extends Series B to €33M

BKN301 Group, a Fintech Architecture Provider, has recently announced milestones marking a new phase in its growth journey: it has secured credit facility from funds and accounts managed by BlackRock, and acquired Planky, a UK-based tech firm specialized in AI-driven financial analytics and open banking. The credit facility goes alongside its Series B. Together with the latest Series B, it takes “the total amount raised to €33 million.”

The financing will support BKN301’s roadmap, enabling the company “to scale its digital banking architecture platform across EMEA markets.”

By combining digital banking infrastructure with data analytics and machine learning, BKN301 continues its mission to enable “financial innovation in emerging economies.”

Through the acquisition of Planky, BKN301 gains an AI and data analytics engine that is to be integrated into its digital banking architecture.

Planky’s machine learning models, specialized in real-time financial insights, behavioural scoring, and predictive analytics, “will enhance the intelligence and automation of BKN301’s platform.”

This integration will enable FIs and fintechs using BKN301’s tech to deliver personalised digital banking experiences, while maintaining compliance and scalability standards.

Stiven Muccioli, Founder & CEO of BKN301 said that this milestone marks a defining moment for BKN301.”

Muccioli added that with the growth financing and Planky’s AI capabilities, they’re accelerating toward their vision of “a next-generation fintech infrastructure — one that’s intelligent, open, and designed to empower financial inclusion at scale across emerging markets.”

The extended Series B and the acquisition of Planky come “as BKN301 continues to expand its presence across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, supporting banks, fintechs, and corporates with an agile, AI-powered infrastructure.”

The company’s growth strategy for the next 18 months includes:

  • Strengthening its AI and data analytics capabilities across the core platform.
  • Expanding strategic partnerships with regional financial institutions.
  • Exploring new M&A opportunities to accelerate technological innovation and market reach.

Muccioli also stated that they’re building the rails “for the next wave of financial innovation.”

They pointed out that AI is transforming how “financial services operate, and BKN301 is at the forefront — combining intelligence, scalability, and regulatory readiness to help our clients innovate faster.”

As mentioned in the announcement, the BKN301 Group is a Fintech Architecture Provider with offices “in London, Milan, San Marino, and Doha that supports banks and fintech companies to modernize their systems while preserving the value of what already works.”

Their cloud-native suite enables institutions to “modernize legacy architectures without disruption, speeding time-to-market and ensuring long-term scalability.”

The platform is built on core components: “the API Orchestrator, the Data Decoupling Layer, and the Business Logic Engine.”

These components work together to provide a more “flexible, vendor-neutral foundation.”

The API Orchestrator expands this foundation by connecting “core banking, open banking, payment processing, AI, GenAI, and many other capabilities.”

The Data Decoupling Layer standardises data to enhance “operational resilience, ensure consistency, and provide an AI-ready foundation.”

This architecture lets financial institutions focus on product development and growth while they “manage the underlying complexity.”

Since 2021, BKN301 expanded across EMEA, advancing what is claims is a more “connected, data-driven, and inclusive financial ecosystem.”
