Sei has integrated with the prediction market Kalshi.
Sei is a blockchain that claims to be the highest Level 1 blockchain that claims to transact at 400ms – faster than any other Layer 1 EVM blockchain. The Sei Giga network upgrade is expected to improve performance further as the organization says it will transact at an industry-leading 5 gigabits per second throughput (~200k transactions per second) while maintaining sub-400ms finality.
The event-driven marketplace is now able to execute on Sei with USDC.
Trading Kalshi event contracts on the Sei offers traders a combination of regulatory oversight and a high-performance, decentralized network. Kalshi is regulated by the CFTC.
Sei Labs was founded in 2021 by Jeffrey Feng and Jayendra Jog. The mainnet beta launch took place in July 2024.
Last month, Sei announced that it had topped 81.5 million users adding over 230,000 new users in a single day.
