Bitvavo Teams Up with European Stablecoin Issuer Societe Generale-FORGE

Bitvavo, Europe’s EUR-spot cryptocurrency exchange, has recently announced a partnership with Societe Generale-FORGE (SG-FORGE), the crypto-assets subsidiary of Societe Generale Group and a European stablecoin issuer. Via this collab, Bitvavo will list EUR CoinVertible and USD CoinVertible, two MiCA-compliant stablecoins issued by SG-FORGE, on its platform.

With this listing, Bitvavo users gain access to stablecoins designed “to combine the value stability of traditional fiat currencies with the transparency, efficiency and programmability of blockchain tech.”

These regulated assets can be used for payments, liquidity management, trading and decentralized finance (DeFi) applications.

Societe Generale-FORGE continues to implement its strategy “to expand its commercialisation network across centralised crypto-asset platforms, alongside DeFi protocols and tokenisation market infrastructures.”

The EUR CoinVertible and USD CoinVertible MiCA-compliant stablecoins are being deployed across a “range of stablecoin use cases through an expanding partner ecosystem.”

Founded in 2018 in Amsterdam, Bitvavo is one of Europe’s cryptocurrency trading platforms;

Bitvavo serves over 2 million European users and a network of clients via its platform, “enabling the buying, selling and storage of more than 400 digital assets.”

Following its MiCAR authorisation in June 2025, Bitvavo operates under the new European regulatory framework, “offering a trading environment with consistent liquidity and competitive execution across a broad range of digital assets.”

As noted in the update, Societe Generale-FORGE is “an integrated and regulated subsidiary of the Societe Generale Group.”

It is licensed as an investment firm and authorised “to provide MiFID II investment services and MiCA crypto-asset services in the European Economic Area under the supervision of the Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution (ACPR) and the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF).”

Societe Generale-FORGE is also authorised as “an electronic money institution by the ACPR.”

Societe Generale-FORGE is now serving as the “issuer of the EUR CoinVertible and USD CoinVertible, MiCA-compliant stablecoins.”

The company has built an open platform for digital asset trading, backed “by security and regulatory compliance.”

Its digital solutions as well as assets now reportedly align with “the CAST open-source interoperability and security marketplace model.”
