Samar Sen, SVP, Head of APAC at digital assets firm Talos, has provided an APAC year-end note. Sen has shared his reflections on what he considers to be an impactful 2025 in the Asia-Pacific region for Talos. Sen pointed out that it has been just over 4 years since he joined Talos as the first employee in APAC, tasked by Anton and Ethan to build a “meaningful business.”
Samar Sen of Talos said that he was armed with a product that they “knew the market needed and empowered to hire a team of individuals and collaborators.”
Now, Talos has customers in 12 different countries “across the Asia-Pacific region.”
Talos APAC contributes almost “a third of their global revenues and volumes, and has become an important booking center for a large portion of their global client.”
Many of their clients globally are based in this region.
Their brand and teams are recognized throughout APAC with a focus on high-precision software engineering, product development, customer experience,
Sen has shared a few key milestones / updates for Talos as follows:
- New Markets, New Segments, New Products: In 2025, they opened new markets like Thailand, Korea, Japan, and the Philippines, while continuing to grow in their core centers of Singapore, Hong Kong, and Australia.
- They have onboarded new client segments across corporates, super apps, retail brokers, asset managers, payment providers, custodians, neo-banks, hedge funds and OTC desks. Institutional interest in the space has never been higher. Since their product line-up has grown beyond just their trading platform over the years, they are now also selling Treasury, Portfolio, Risk, and Data systems to our existing client base. Their regional sell-side customers continue to drive their global product roadmap with their dynamic customer bases.
- Moving into their new flagship offices in Singapore’s Tanjong Pagar neighborhood: Talos has re-affirmed its commitment to the region by leveling up their offices to match their team’s growth, the profile of customers that they power today, and the increasingly impactful role that they play in the ecosystem.
In 2022, Talos has launched their first Singapore office with about 7 employees, taking over Fireblocks’ old space just as they came out of Covid.
Despite being a remote-first firm, their APAC team comes into the office frequently.
