SEC Small Business Capital Formation Advisory Committee to Meet in April

The Securities and Exchange Commission, Small Business Capital Formation Advisory Committee (SBCFAC), is scheduled to reconvene on April 28th. The meeting will be livestreamed and available to the public.

At the last SBCFAC gathering, in February, the group discussed issues like Finders and secondary markets in private securities.

Regarding Finders, the Committee voted to adopt principles to guide the SEC in creating new rules to enable Finders to pair investors with early-stage firms.

The goal is to “keep it simple” and accessible without limiting it to professionals.

The Committee suggested a notice filing that includes fees or compensation.

During the April meeting, you may expect final recommendations for Finders.

Next month, a complete agenda should be made available.
