The Fundrise Innovation Fund (NYSE: VCX) will be tokenizing its shares in partnership with Kraken.
The VCXx asset will be tokenized by Kraken’s xStocks platform. xStocks lets you trade shares 24/7. There are no trading fees when purchasing xStocks with USDG or USD on Kraken.
xStocks are issued by Backed Assets (JE) Limited, a Jersey private limited company, and offered to eligible Kraken customers via Payward Digital Solutions Ltd., a company licensed to conduct digital asset business by the Bermuda Monetary Authority.
xStocks claims to be the largest provider of tokenized equities, with over $25 billion in combined transaction volume and more than 100,000 unique holders globally. This includes 100+ individual equities and ETFs.
Ben Miller, CEO of Fundrise, said they have long admired Kraken and their approach to “breaking down barriers to the best investments.”
VCX started trading on the NYSE last month and quickly jumped in value. The VC fund holds shares in top private firms like SpaceX. OpenAI, and many others.
