World Network Rolls Out Upgraded World ID Protocol and Expands Proof-of-Human Partnerships Across AI, Business Ecosystems

World Network has recently unveiled its most recent upgrade to World ID, positioning it as a full-stack solution for cryptographic proof-of-human verification in the age of AI. Announced at the Lift Off event in San Francisco, the refreshed protocol shifts to an account-based architecture that enhances security, portability, and usability for both enterprises and individual users.

According to the update from the World Network, this marks the biggest evolution in World ID since its inception, enabling private, verifiable confirmation that a real, unique person stands behind online actions without compromising anonymity or collecting personal data.

Key technical improvements include support for key rotation, account recovery, multi-key authentication, and proper session management.

These features elevate the protocol to enterprise-grade standards, making it reliable for high-volume deployments.

New one-time-use nullifiers further bolster anonymity protections, while an open-source SDK allows any application to act as a World ID authenticator.

Complementing the protocol changes, World introduced the World ID app—a dedicated mobile experience now in public beta—for users to seamlessly manage and apply their proof-of-human credentials across the web.

The upgrade arrives alongside a wave of high-profile integrations that extend proof-of-human into critical areas of the internet.

World is partnering with leading platforms to combat bots, enable secure agentic workflows, and restore trust in daily digital interactions.

In the agentic web, where AI agents increasingly handle browsing, API calls, purchases, and complex tasks, World ID provides essential primitives like agent delegation, human-in-the-loop verification, and agentic commerce.

Browserbase integrates World ID so agents receive verified traffic status, bypassing anti-bot measures and reducing friction during web automation.

Exa offers free API quotas to agents backed by World ID, protecting against abuse while enabling experimentation.

Vercel’s open-source Workflow SDK now supports a “human in the loop” step, allowing developers to insert verifiable human approval into any agent workflow—with full audit trails—via a simple npm package.

Okta is developing Human Principal, a new product that lets API builders confirm a human principal behind an agent and enforce policies; World ID will serve as a key integration partner for privacy-preserving verification.

These tools, powered by World’s AgentKit, ensure agents carry cryptographically attested human backing for everything from transactions to sensitive actions.

For business applications, the new World ID introduces “human continuity”—a missing piece in traditional security systems that only verify devices or accounts.

Zoom and DocuSign are integrating the technology to bring verifiable humanity into professional workflows.

DocuSign, for instance, will let signers cryptographically attest they are real humans (not bots) when confirming identity attributes during document execution, strengthening the overall trust model in an agent-driven environment.

On the consumer side, World ID is embedding proof-of-human into everyday platforms to foster genuine interactions.

Match Group’s Tinder now offers global World ID verification following a successful Japan pilot, giving users a privacy-first way to confirm real people behind profiles and reduce fake accounts.

In gaming, Razer’s Razer ID—verified by World ID—sets a new standard against bots, while Mythical Games applies it to player-owned economies where distinguishing humans from automated players is vital.

Reddit is exploring World ID for privacy-preserving checks on suspected bot accounts.

For live events, World’s new Concert Kit tool lets artists reserve tickets exclusively for verified humans; it launches alongside the Bruno Mars World Tour (with DJ Pee Wee/Anderson .Paak), granting VIP access at select stops and protecting against scalper bots.  By combining a production-ready protocol with these strategic partnerships, World Network is focused on accelerating proof-of-human adoption at scale.
