The Global Equity Crowdfunding Alliance (GECA), an advocacy group based in the UK but working with global online capital formation platforms, says it has just launched the GECA AI Governance Task Force.
Andy Field, GECA Steering Committee Lead, said there is a need for discussion on the technology which will transform securities crowdfunding.
Neera Patel, Chief Product Officer at Dacxi Chain, will Chair the group. Patel said:
“The opportunity ahead is not simply to discuss AI, but to help the industry explore how it can be adopted responsibly, effectively, and in ways that create genuine value.”
The group states the mission of the entity is to bring industry expertise together to explore and support practical approaches to artificial intelligence adoption.
AI is quickly becoming embedded in all industries with financial services being a leader in many ways. From financial management, to agentic payments, to risk analysis and investment recommendations, AI will be everywhere including private securities.
GECA states that rather than prescribing solutions, the Task Force aims to create an environment for sharing opinions and experiences while providing guidance for investment crowdfunding.
GECA said that additional details on the Task Force will be released in the coming months..
