Mambu, a cloud-native banking platform designed for modern financial services providers, has secured certification as an official enabler for SWIFT’s Business Connect and associated value-added services.
This milestone grants participating institutions seamless, managed access to SWIFT’s extensive international network, encompassing approximately 12,000 financial entities worldwide, all delivered through a fully integrated, cloud-based solution.
The certification eliminates traditional barriers to SWIFT participation, such as maintaining on-premises hardware, handling complex security protocols, or depending on outdated intermediary services.
Institutions can now leverage Mambu’s Payments Hub to orchestrate both domestic and cross-border transactions efficiently within a single, unified environment.
This integration supports a wide array of payment scenarios, from standard international transfers to specialized correspondent banking arrangements.
With the certification now active, Mambu reports successful onboarding and live operations for several clients on its payments infrastructure.
Notable examples include BankB, Outpayce (from Amadeus), and BCB Group, which are utilizing the platform to expand their global reach and serve millions of end users.
Mambu assumes full responsibility for the underlying infrastructure, compliance, and security demands of SWIFT connectivity, allowing clients to focus on innovation and customer service rather than technical overhead.
Édouard Mandon, Vice President of Payments at Mambu, said:
“We are delighted to deliver comprehensive, hands-off SWIFT access to our clients. BankB has already gone live, employing our SWIFT Alliance Cloud connection to link with ING as its SEPA sponsor bank.”
Beyond core connectivity, the certification as a Value-Added Services Enabler unlocks supplementary tools that enhance payment processing, risk management, and overall user experiences.
These resources help institutions optimize operations and deliver smoother interactions for their customers.
This advancement aligns with Mambu’s vision of a cohesive payments ecosystem that combines various connectivity options—domestic schemes, partner banks, and now SWIFT—under one roof.
By incorporating SWIFT Alliance Cloud, the platform broadens support for international use cases, including sponsor bank linkages, correspondent relationships, and direct market infrastructure access.
The result is greater consistency, scalability, and efficiency in handling global flows.
Patrick Herwegh, Chief Information Officer at BankB, said:
“Integrating with SWIFT via Mambu’s Alliance Cloud has enabled us to consolidate all bank payments through a single gateway, supported by our SEPA arrangement with ING. The rollout was swift and dependable. Operations on the Mambu platform now run more smoothly, boosting productivity and allowing us to provide superior service to our clients.”
The new SWIFT Business Connect capabilities are immediately accessible to a broad spectrum of organizations worldwide, including traditional banks, fintech companies, neobanks, payment service providers, and electronic money institutions.
As the financial sector continues shifting toward cloud solutions and real-time processing, this certification positions Mambu as a key facilitator for institutions seeking agile, compliant, and cost-effective international payment infrastructure.
In an environment where speed, reliability, and regulatory adherence define competitive advantage, Mambu’s move strengthens its role in powering the next wave of digital finance. The platform’s composable design ensures institutions can adapt to evolving market demands while maintaining control and minimizing complexity.
