DECTA Partners with OpenPayd to Streamline Internal Treasury Settlement

Payments technology firm DECTA has teamed up with financial infrastructure provider OpenPayd to upgrade its cross-border treasury processes. The collaboration focuses on making operational settlement quicker and more efficient across DECTA’s international activities by leveraging regulated stablecoin tools.

DECTA, which has over ten years of experience supporting banks, financial institutions, and merchants, will use OpenPayd’s platform-agnostic system.

This gives the company unified access to traditional fiat banking rails, over-the-counter conversion options, and hybrid payment features.

The goal is better liquidity handling and smoother fund movements as DECTA assists fintechs and merchants in multiple markets.

Lux Thiagarajah, OpenPayd’s Chief Commercial Officer, noted that stablecoins are emerging as useful tools for treasury management among companies with global operations.

The benefits reach far beyond pure digital asset firms.

Businesses seek reliable methods to handle cash positions and fulfill obligations more quickly without introducing extra layers of complexity.

By combining regulated traditional finance capabilities with digital asset features on one platform,

OpenPayd is assisting DECTA in updating its treasury setup while preserving the oversight and safeguards expected in institutional environments.

Scott Dawson, CEO of DECTA UK, emphasized practical innovation.

He explained that technology delivers the most value when it produces tangible improvements.

For DECTA, this involves making financial processes quicker, more straightforward, and more robust.

OpenPayd claims that it offers a better approach for transferring the company’s own money internationally, refining liquidity oversight, and facilitating settlements company-wide.

As the organization expands, its internal treasury systems must match the modernity and scalability of the payment solutions it delivers to clients.

The new infrastructure will boost speed and durability while upholding the rigorous controls and regulatory standards that form the foundation of DECTA’s work.

This partnership aligns with DECTA’s ongoing efforts to adopt technologies that enhance operational efficiency and resilience.

It also reflects a wider industry shift in which institutions increasingly turn to stablecoins for improved liquidity control, simplified settlement, and more effective international transactions.

Importantly, the arrangement applies solely to DECTA’s internal proprietary treasury functions.

It does not extend to any client-facing cryptocurrency services or foreign exchange offerings for customers.OpenPayd positions itself as a builder of universal financial infrastructure for the digital economy.

Its platform allows organizations to transfer and oversee funds worldwide across both traditional currencies and digital assets via a single API.

Services include embedded accounts, foreign exchange, domestic and cross-border payments, open banking, and stablecoin on- and off-ramps.

The company supports real-time movement of money through an extensive banking network and processes more than $280 billion in yearly volumes for over 1,200 clients, including major names such as eToro, Kraken, OKX, and B2C2.

DECTA describes itself as a flexible payment service provider suited to merchants, mid-sized banks, neobanks, and other electronic money institutions.

Its offerings cover payment acquiring, white-label gateways and card issuing, processing, BIN sponsorship, and digital banking platforms.

Operating from offices in Ireland, Cyprus, the UK, and Latvia, the company serves hundreds of clients across 32 countries and holds principal memberships with Mastercard and Visa along with UnionPay International certification.

By integrating these capabilities, DECTA now aims to ensure its back-office operations remain as advanced as the client solutions it provides, positioning both firms to benefit from evolving approaches to institutional treasury management.
