Saudi Arabia’s Al Qadsiah Club has signed a memorandum of understanding with cybersecurity provider LogRhythm | Exabeam to explore the use of cloud-based security and AI tools to protect the sports club’s growing digital operations.
The agreement, signed on the sidelines of technology conference LEAP 2026, will see the two sides evaluate cybersecurity technologies aimed at improving threat monitoring, detection and response.
Under the MoU, Al Qadsiah and LogRhythm | Exabeam will explore the use of security information and event management, or SIEM, technology across the club’s systems, platforms and digital services.
The agreement is exploratory and the parties did not disclose any financial terms, implementation timetable or specific technology deployment resulting from the partnership.
The initiative comes as Saudi Arabia invests heavily in both digital infrastructure and professional sports under its Vision 2030 economic diversification programme.
The growing use of cloud services, mobile applications, digital ticketing, online payments and data analytics across the sports industry has also increased the amount of sensitive information handled by clubs and other sports organisations.
That expansion has made cybersecurity an increasingly important consideration for sports operators, which can hold personal information on supporters, employees and athletes as well as payment and operational data.
“As the sports sector continues its rapid shift towards digital services and data-driven environments, cybersecurity has become essential to protecting operations, services, and information,” said Sultan Al-Alanazi, country director for LogRhythm | Exabeam Saudi Arabia.
Al Qadsiah Executive Director of Operations Saud Al-Omari said the club views cybersecurity as part of its broader digital transformation and plans to explore technologies that could improve the protection of its systems and digital services.
LogRhythm and Exabeam completed their merger in 2024, combining their respective security intelligence and security operations technologies.
The combined business provides tools covering areas including SIEM, threat detection, investigation and response, with artificial intelligence and automation increasingly incorporated into cybersecurity operations.
The Al Qadsiah agreement comes amid broader efforts in Saudi Arabia to strengthen cybersecurity as more government entities and private-sector businesses move services and operations online.
For cybersecurity vendors, Saudi Arabia’s push to digitise sectors ranging from finance and government services to entertainment and sports is expanding the potential market for security software and services.
At the same time, the proliferation of connected platforms and the growing use of cloud infrastructure and AI can widen organisations’ attack surfaces, increasing demand for tools capable of identifying threats across multiple systems and responding to incidents more quickly.
The MoU does not amount to a procurement contract, but provides a framework under which the club and LogRhythm | Exabeam can assess potential cybersecurity projects and technologies for future deployment.
