Robinhood (NASDAQ:HOOD) is launching 24/7 trading in the US for “eligible” accounts, including equities and perpetuals, as part of its mission to become the top platform for active traders.
At the same time, Robinhood shared an update on its anticipated agentic trading services.
Robinhood announced agentic trading, or Robinhood Agents, this past May. Robinhood Agents operate in the app and can pursue research, create strategies, and trade from a dedicated account. Robinhood reports that over 150,000+ users have opened agentic accounts, with agents calling platform tools tens of millions of times per day. All Robinhood users get Agentic accounts on Legend, Robinhood’s advanced trading platform for active traders. Currently, there is no additional cost for a Legend account. OpenAI model usage for agents was said to be free through the end of 2026.
“With safety and security at its core, we’re setting the standard for what agentic finance can be. Whether you’re an expert or are just getting started with AI, you’re at a disadvantage if you’re not using Robinhood,” said Abhishek Fatehpuria, VP of Product Management at Robinhood.
In the near future, Robinhood said they would release “loops” where an AI agent can execute a strategy on an ongoing basis, executing trades autonomously as defined by the account holder.
Users may pay and subscribe to their premium data offering to enhance strategies.
Regarding 24/7 trading, Robinhood is offering the service in partnership with Bruce ATS – pending regulatory review. The company claims to be the first platform in the US to offer the round-the-clock trading service.
Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev delivered the update at the annual Robinhood HOOD Summit yesterday in Houston. Robinhood shares moved higher in early market trading as investors digested the news.
