Season two of Meet the Drapers has received a nice boost as Sony Pictures Networks has picked up season two of the venture capital meets investment crowdfunding series. The series will be carried in over 150 countries with the news.
The Drapers, Bill, Tim and Jesse, have a long history of venture capital in Silicon Valley. Tim Draper is a noted cryptocurrency investor and advocate.
Sony Pictures television operations currently produces or distributes around 60 programs worldwide. The company also grants licensing rights to customers which include U.S. and international broadcast and cable networks, U.S. local television stations and digital services. Sony Pictures Television has formed an international network with 150 channel feeds in 178 countries reaching approximately 1.3 billion cumulative households worldwide. While the Drapers may not be delivered to all of those households, it sounds like a good percentage will be able to dial it up on their TV.
Meet the Drapers season two is done in partnership with crowdfunding platform Republic. Successful entrepreneurs may not only receive backing from one of the Drapers critiquing the company but retail investors may participate as well.
