Fintech Klarna Launches Comparison Shopping Service Across Europe

Payments Fintech Klarna has launched a Comparison Shopping Service (CSS) to help partner retailers boost customer reach and budget savings.

David Sandström, Chief Marketing Officer at Klarna, said, “…we offer retailers a more effective and cheaper way to increase their customer reach and convert highly relevant traffic from consumers who are searching for products they want to purchase, thereby maximizing merchants’ return on advertising spend.”

Klarna’s CSS program, created by Google, helps retailers save up to 20% on their cash burn. Klarna also provides a retailer with product listing inventory to boost product visibility and customer reach further.

The CSS is available in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the UK.

Last week, the Stockholm-based fintech had announced raising USD 639 million in funding from SoftBank’s vision fund that valued the startup at USD 45.6 billion. The company intends to use the funds for international expansion and global retail growth.
