Bitcoin at New ATH on Inauguration Day

Bitcoin bulls are on today as BTC nears $110,000 on the day of the Presidential inauguration.

Today, at 12 noon ET, Donald Trump will become the 47th President after serving as the 45th President in an unprecedented return to office following four difficult years under the leadership of President Joe Biden.

While the Biden administration was determinably not supportive of Fintech innovation, President Trump is poised to be a transformative leader for the sector – perhaps most importantly for digital asset innovation.

The transition from hostile regulators, and ossified policymakers to a friendly Congress, supportive executive, and the bureaucracy that comes with it will bring a dramatic shift for the crypto sector which has struggled for years in the beligerant environment.

Meanwhile, other global jurisdictions moved forward on digital assets. The contrast cannot be bigger.

Emblematic of the change is the SEC under the leadership of Chairman Gary Gensler who missed out on becoming a transformative and historic leader to now being relegated as a politically entranced individual firmly on the wrong side of history. While Bitcoin’s rise is a symptom of the change, the entire sector is anticipating robust growth over the next four years.
