Crowd Street Adds Asset Manager to Board of Directors as Part of Shift to Broader Private Securities Platform

Crowd Street, formerly a real estate investment platform and now a private securities marketplace offering a range of investments to its customers, has added Brad Coleman to its Board of Directors. Coleman is described as a “global leader in alternative asset management. Coleman is currently a partner at SLR Capital Partners, a firm focused on private credit. Before that, he was at Hunter Point Capital and Citi.

John Imbriglia, CEO of Crowd Street, welcomed Coleman’s “extensive industry knowledge,” calling him invaluable as Crowd Street expands beyond commercial real estate.

“Crowd Street’s vision for diversifying wealth creation for millions of accredited investors through a self-directed platform aligns with my belief that private market investing represents an untapped opportunity, and a promising sector for tremendous growth,” said Coleman.

As of September 2025, Crowd Street reports over  $4.4 billion invested through its platform solely in commercial real estate. The company is now working with asset management firms to introduce new fund options across additional asset classes, including private equity, private credit, and venture capital, later this year.

Interest in alternative investments is on the rise, especially among wealthier investors. Alts can include a wide portfolio of assets and also crypto investments.
