SOL Strategies Inc. (NASDAQ: STKE), a publicly traded company that claims to be the first in combining a substantial Solana treasury with a revenue-generating validator operating business, announced its selection as a staking provider for the VanEck Solana ETF via SOL Strategies’ Orangefin validator.
VanEck has been a longstanding supporter of the Solana ecosystem. The arrangement advances SOL Strategies’ mission to bridge traditional finance (TradFi) with decentralized infrastructure.
Michael Hubbard, Interim CEO of SOL Strategies said that they are now eager to work with VanEck, a firm that has consistently supported the nascent Solana (SOL) ecosystem.
Hubbard added that this selection now validates their existing infrastructure capabilities and highlights the institutional interest in more “compliant, high-performance Solana staking solutions.”
As they continue to scale their validator operations, “arrangements like this reinforce their position as an … institutional gateway to the Solana ecosystem.”
Kyle DaCruz, Director of Digital Assets Product at VanEck has said that VanEck has long acknowledged Solana’s considerable potential. They also noted that SOL Strategies’ track record in validator operations and institutional focus “made them a natural choice for their Solana ETF staking requirements.”
SOL Strategies’ selection reportedly builds on its track record of institutional arrangements, including its work with Tetra Trust and various other FIs.
The firm now operates ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certified validators that presently secure more than CAD$610 million in staked digital assets.
As covered, SOL Strategies Inc. is a Canadian investment company that operates at the so-called “forefront” of blockchain tech advancements.
Specializing and focusing sharply on the Solana ecosystem, the company reportedly provides “strategic investments and infrastructure solutions” in order to enable the sp-called next generation of decentralized applications or dApps.
As covered late last month, SOL Strategies Inc. announced it has completed its SOC 2 Type 2 & SOC 1 Type 2 examination with no exceptions noted. The audit reportedly validates SOL Strategies’ controls, effective risk management as well as adherence to “industry best practices for its validator operations.”
This milestone builds upon the firm’s certifications and reports, including ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type 1, and SOC 1 Type 1, demonstrating SOL Strategies’ commitment to maintaining the standards of security for institutional clients staking Solana.
The SOC 2 Type 2 examination represents an independent evaluation of SOL Strategies’ security controls “over an extended period, validating not only the design but the operating effectiveness of the company’s security practices.”
