Kalshi Rolls Out Institutional Market Data Feed via DoubleZero Edge

Prediction market platform Kalshi has made its live order book available for the first time through DoubleZero Edge, a so-called low-latency data delivery service. The partnership now positions Kalshi as the inaugural prediction market on the platform and (reportedly) only the second venue overall, following Solana.

This marks the debut of Kalshi’s market information distributed across a multicast network.

DoubleZero Edge functions as a high-speed transport layer that streams live exchange and blockchain information directly to trading firms.

It relies on dedicated fiber connections and a multicast approach, in which data is issued once from the source and then shared simultaneously with all connected subscribers.

Traditional exchanges such as the New York Stock Exchange, Nasdaq, and CME have long employed comparable methods to ensure reliable, low-jitter delivery.

The initial offering focuses on Kalshi’s most liquid categories: sports event contracts and crypto perpetual futures.

Subscribers receive both Level 1 data—top-of-book prices along with executed trades—and Level 2 data that reveals the full depth of the order book at every price level.

The feed arrives in a normalized, machine-readable format, eliminating the need for firms to reconstruct books from public APIs, normalize Yes/No quotes, or navigate stream and request limits.

Previously, institutional participants seeking production-grade views of Kalshi markets typically assembled their own infrastructure.

The new service simplifies that process into a straightforward subscription.

DoubleZero Edge supplies only market data and does not handle order execution. Historical data is planned for a later release.

Austin Federa, co-founder of DoubleZero, noted that traditional finance correctly identified data access as a core element of market structure. Large firms long ago constructed private high-speed networks for their exclusive use.

Newer asset classes such as crypto, perpetual futures, and prediction markets had lacked equivalent infrastructure.

Edge, he explained, extends institutional-grade connectivity to these venues through software-defined access.

Andy Ross, Kalshi’s Head of Institutional, emphasized that participants on the platform increasingly include the same sophisticated firms active in conventional markets.

Those firms expect consistent, high-quality infrastructure across every venue they trade.

Making Kalshi data available on DoubleZero Edge meets that expectation.

To encourage adoption, Kalshi is forgoing its customary share of subscription revenue for the first year.

As a result, pricing centers on network delivery costs rather than data licensing fees, reducing the barrier for firms integrating the feed into live trading systems.

Exact pricing remains available upon request.

The data itself is powered by Kalshi Research and is accessible immediately to DoubleZero Edge subscribers.

Kalshi, founded in 2018, operates as a regulated event-contract exchange covering economics, politics, sports, culture, and crypto.

The addition of this professional-grade data path reflects the maturing demand for faster, more consistent information as prediction markets attract greater institutional volume and activity. The collaboration illustrates how specialized networking originally developed for blockchain environments can also serve regulated financial data, bringing traditional market structure standards into emerging asset classes.
