OpenPayd Gains US Money Transmitter Licenses via MSB USA Integration

OpenPayd has taken a step forward into the United States by folding MSB USA Inc. into its group, bringing 43 state money transmitter licenses under one corporate structure. The London-based financial infrastructure firm said the deal, completed after the necessary regulatory approvals, gives it a practical route into a large share of the US market without having to pursue licenses state by state from scratch.

MSB USA is a FinCEN-registered money services business that helps companies send, receive, and settle funds inside the United States and across borders.

It works through regulated banking partners and rails such as ACH, Fedwire, and SWIFT.

It also supports hosted dollar accounts and settlement involving stablecoins.

The company was founded by OpenPayd founder Dr. Ozan Ozerk and will keep operating under its existing leadership while it is gradually brought onto OpenPayd’s platform.

The licenses expand OpenPayd’s geographic reach for clients that already do business in the United States or plan to enter the market.

Combined with the firm’s existing permissions in the United Kingdom and Europe, including recent Markets in Crypto-Assets authorization from the Malta Financial Services Authority, OpenPayd now presents itself as a provider with regulated rails for both traditional money and digital assets on both sides of the Atlantic.

Ozerk framed the move in broader terms.

Correspondent banking, he said, connected the twentieth-century economy; programmable money will define the next era.

The United States sits at the center of that shift, and few firms can claim licensed infrastructure spanning fiat and digital assets across the US, UK, and Europe.

The licensing news arrives after a strong period of commercial growth. As of July 31, 2026, OpenPayd reported annual recurring revenue above $96 million and annualized transaction volume of more than $300 billion.

The company says it is profitable, has not taken outside capital, and serves more than 1,200 clients worldwide, among them Kraken, eToro, OKX, and B2C2.Chief executive Iana Dimitrova called U.S. market entry a transformative next stage.

Clients, she said, are increasingly global and want compliant payment infrastructure in important markets such as the United States.

Expanding the regulatory footprint is therefore not only a geographic play but a way to keep offering secure, reliable rails that let businesses move money across markets with less friction.

The timing also lines up with OpenPayd’s planned public listing.

In June 2026 the company agreed a business combination with Titan Acquisition Corp. that is expected to take OpenPayd public on Nasdaq under the ticker OP, at an equity value of up to $1.145 billion on a pro-forma basis.

Closing is targeted for the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to shareholder approval and other customary conditions.

MSB USA will continue offering its existing dollar-account and cross-border payment services while integration proceeds. Service availability still depends on jurisdiction, contracts, and customer due diligence. For OpenPayd, the licenses provide a ready-made U.S. foundation as it prepares to scale in North America and list on a US exchange.
