Coinshares Says Affluent Investing in Crypto

CoinShares (Nasdaq:CSHR) says the affluent are investing in crypto.

According to a CoinShares survey of 502 investors with net worth over $500,000, 70% say they already own digital assets, and 64% are “extremely likely” to increase their crypto exposure. Additionally, 93% want to increase their crypto exposure.

Regulated exchange-traded funds (ETFs) are the top vehicle for investing in crypto, with interest more than quadrupling from 4% to 17%.

Jean-Marie Mognetti, co-founder, President, and Chief Executive Officer of CoinShares, says high-net-worth individuals are a leading indicator and crypto “conviction is growing year over year.”

Overall, Bitcoin remains the top digital asset, with 75% expecting to increase their exposure and 85% seeing it as a reliable store of value.

The change in administration in the US, and a digital asset-friendly approach that saw the GENIUS Act (stablecoin legislation) become law, has helped to drive awareness and interest. Interest in greater regulatory clarity for digital assets increased from 73% in 2025 to 83% in 2026
