On Thursday, GoFundMe announced it was dubbed #1 place to work among medium companies on Fortune’s List of Best Workplaces. The crowdfunding platform stated that Fortune’s partner, Great Place to Work, evaluated each company on the list based on key qualities, which are a sense of mission; trust from managers and autonomy for workers; and a culture of teamwork and communication.
The GoFundMe team stated:
“GoFundMe’s mission is to empower people to help people, and it’s something each and every one of us here are passionate about. There’s nothing better than knowing that GoFundMe has helped teachers supply their classrooms, or helped families recover after a hurricane, or helped an 89-year-old popsicle vendor finally retire. That’s why we’re so pleased to have our workplace recognized as the remarkable place we’re lucky to go to every day.”
