London Doctors Clinic has recently launched an equity crowdfunding initiative through Crowdcube with a mission to raise £600,000 as it prepares to expand its services throughout England’s capital. The clinic currently offers 15-minute consultations to the city’s residents starting at £55.
Since its commercial debut in 2015, London Doctors Clinic has expanded to 6 clinics, which are located near transportation hubs in central London (Waterloo, Victoria, Soho Square, Kings’ Cross, Liverpool street, and London bridge. All of the doctors are NHS registered and also offers medical services such as blood tests and referrals. To date, London Doctors Clinic has already treated 3,000 patients from its six locations. It has also received backing from private equity firm, Oakfield Capital.
Explaining what the plans will be used for, the London Doctors Clinic shared:
“The investment is required to expand our capacity by investing in clinic infrastructure, to invest in Sales & Marketing and for providing working capital as the business builds to breakeven.”
During a recent interview, founder of London Doctors Clinic, Dr. Seth Rankin, stated:
“London is a unique economy with lots of dislocated people. The price points may be different in the provinces, and the spread of clinics would be different. There’s more of a personal note – people know their GP. But we’re certainly looking to expand outside of London.”
Those who invest in London Doctors Clinic will receive the following rewards:
- Invest £250: A free consultation with one of the doctors at any of the clinics.
- Invest £500: A free consultation with one of the doctors at any of the clinics; offers ongoing 20% discount on the consultations.
Invest £1,000: Two free consultations with one of the doctors at any of the clinics; offers ongoing 20% discount on the consultations.- Invest £5,000: Two free consultations per year with one of the doctors at any of the clinics; offers an ongoing 20% discount on GP consultations with a free health check every two years.
- Invest £10,000: Six free consultations per year for them or their family with one of the doctors at any of the clinics; offers ongoing 20% discount on GP consultations with a free annual health check.
- Invest £20,000: Ten free consultations per year for them or their family with one of the doctors at any of the clinics; offers an ongoing 20% discount on GP consultations with 2 free annual health checks. There is also an invitation to join the exclusive annual Investor Day with Rankin and members of his senior team.
Since its launch, the Crowdcube campaign has successfully secured over £260,000 from 16 investors. It is set to close mid-July.
