This week, equity crowdfunding platform Seedrs released its 2016 year in review, which revealed the stats and highlights that made the past twelve months exciting. The funding portal stated:

- Investors from 65 countries around the globe

- Over 200 investors per deal on average
- More than 14,000 conversations started by investors with entrepreneurs
- Businesses from 14 countries campaigned
Seedrs also noted that 2016 was an amazing year for funding deals on its portal, with multiple records broken. These were:
- Fastest Funded Deal: Tandem funded in 15 minutes
- Highest Amount Raised: Perkbox raised over £4.35 million
- Highest Number of Investors: WeSwap (2,962 investors)
The most popular sector by number of campaigns were:

Seedrs then shared details about its company growth. It now has 63 team members from 15 countries, across 5 offices. The platform then added:
