Crowdfunding company SoMoLend is expanding in St. Louis with a contest aimed at generating more borrowers there.
Over-the-Rhine-based SoMoLend, which connects entrepreneurs with investors, is hosting a launch party Dec. 5 at Washington University in St. Louis to kick off its efforts there. SoMoLend already has arrangements with seven banks in the St. Louis area that are lenders on SoMoLend’s website, Chris Calvert, SoMoLend’s vice president of operations, told me at Thursday’s CincyTech annual meeting at downtown’s Duke Energy Convention Center.
