Launcht provided comment about the important blended value proposition offered by equity crowdfunding, one in which investors will invest for many different reasons, only some of them financial. Launcht also highlighted the fact that even if equity crowdfunding is successful, those successes will be in a few years, after the startups that took on capital begin to thrive. In that time, there will be many natural failures amongst the early crowdfunded companies, leaving a burgeoning market with a difficult pitch to any investor purely interested in financial returns.
