Delayed Crowdfunding Rules a Top Priority for SEC

President Obama Speaks after signing the Jobs Act April 2012The Securities and Exchange Commission is working to propose rules “as soon as possible” on crowdfunding that would allow small companies to raise up to $1 million in funds from investors over the Internet, but the rules will likely include new types of investor limits and corporate disclosure requirements, an SEC official said Friday.
