UK based Crowdcube crowdfunding Platform has been shortlisted for the Express & Echo Business Award
Crowdcube, one of the leading equity based crowdfunding platforms in Europe, is up for another award. This one is for the Express & Echo Business Award – a recognition which was launched in 2011. In partnership with Eclipse Internet Services, this award has attracted over 250 entrants over the past couple years including 90 finalists for 13 award categories. The specific award which Crowdcube is up for is their Innovation category which is described as,
Significant impact the business world through the successful launch of a new business, the revival of an existing one, developing and marketing a new product or idea, or by diversifying business direction.
Ironically the company which received the award the year prior, Fantasy Shopper, happens to be a located in the same building as Crowdcube. The closing date for Award entries was March 29th. The shortlist was announced on April 5th and the final ceremony
will be held later this month on Friday, April 26th.
Crowdcube is in the mix with seven other contenders. They are also on the list for Small Business of the Year.
Crowdcube has had a break out year in 2013. They were the first equity crowdfunding platform in the UK to be regulated by the Financial Service Authority and have continued to power successful equity crowdfunding rounds for a growing pool of UK businesses. Total amount raised so far is over £5.7 Million.
