EarlyShares Initiative to Support Bella Rodriguez, Girl Battling Cancer

EarlySharesIn an effort to assist with the expenses for Bella Rodriquez, Steve Temes, Founder and Chairman of EarlyShares, and DJ Laz of radio station 106.7  have created  HelpForBella.com.

DJ Laz told Temes that Sushi Sake had generously donated their 16-seat luxury suite at the American Airlines Arena for the Heat/Pacers playoff game being played tonight. Immediately, Temes decided to donate $10,000 to the cause, and they agreed to donate the seats to individuals who are suffering with their own challenges.

Bella Rodriguez, a 10-year-old girl from South Florida, is losing her longtime battle with cancer. Despite her family’s best efforts and exploring all medical treatments, her parents have announced that Bella has entered hospice. After spending more than half her life in a grueling battle against an aggressive form of cancer, Bella and her family are looking to raise the funds necessary to cover medical bills and other expenses.

EarlyShares’ web developers worked throughout the night, and by the following morning the campaign dubbed “Help for Bella”  was live on-line and being promoted actively by DJ Laz on his morning show with Temes by his side. DJ Laz dedicated his Friday show to Bella, calling it “Feel Good Friday.” Bella’s dad spoke about her courage and strength. DJ Laz expressed his unconditional support for Bella and her family, and his gratitude to EarlyShares and Sushi Sake for enabling this campaign.

“In these difficult times, the support of our family, friends and community is all that matters. While we ensure Bella’s comfort, we are at peace,” said her mother, Shannah Rodriguez.

“EarlyShares is humbled and honored to be able to support Bella’s family in their time of need. As a Crowdfunding platform, we believe in the collective power of our communities to make a positive impact on the world. Bella’s family has had tremendous community support during this ordeal. Our donation is a way of supporting them, enabling 8 families in need to experience the thrill of a Heat playoff game, and giving back to the crowd of supporters who have been with the family throughout Bella’s journey,” says Steve Temes. He continues, “This is just the first in a series of efforts that EarlyShares.com will promote to support local communities.”
