Dragon’s Den is a British television show on BBC which allows a group of entrepreneurs to pitch their concept to wealthy investors. These 5 wealthy “Dragons” then decide whether to invest in any of these companies and the negotiations commence. Of course drama may ensue and at times ridicule occurs but all in the name of the show which does fund small companies.
Equity crowdfunding has regularly been described as “Armchair Dragons” in the UK as the approach may be different but the result is the same. Purchasing equity in small companies.
