Hardware crowdfunding platform, Dragon Innovation, has announced the success of their first three crowdfunded projects. The inaugural round of projects having successfully raised funds on their site include:
- Dash – A DIY Robot having raised $74,461 on a goal of $64,000
- Ollie – The perfect flat tool having raised $4,583 on a goal of $1000
Dragon Innovation announced their forthcoming hardware crowdfunding platform this past August. The site had raised $2.3 Million in seed funding from several high profile venture capital groups.
The site launched live just this month on September 5th, while simultaneously announcing partnerships with GE, Arrow Electronics and others.
The company was co-founded by CEO Scott N. Miller and President Herman Pang. The two saw an opportunity to bridge the gap with entrepreneurs who have a functional prototype to high volume production. Herman acts as the Far East in country liaison leveraging his manufacturing connections to improve quality and speed to market.
