Crowdcube is Winner of Startup Hub at Conservative Party Conference

Crowdcube at Start Up HubThe Conservative Party Conference is being held in Manchester, United Kingdom, from September 29th to October 2nd. The agenda includes the expected speeches of party leaders and tributes to past luminaries.  The agenda also includes an important recognition as to what entrepreneurs bring to the domestic economy in the form of a Start Up Hub and associated competition.

As one of the largest political gatherings in the United Kingdom, Start Up Hub exposes 13,500 delegates and national press to some of the most dynamic entrepreneurs in the United Kingdom today creating a unique opportunity to showcase their ideas.  Party leader David Cameron has been regularly quoted as stating;

“The Conservative Party believes that small businesses and entrepreneurs are the lifeblood of the UK economy. To show our continued commitment to British enterprise and entrepreneurs I am pleased that the Conservatives are once again running the Start Up Hub at our Conference. I support this initiative and encourage start-ups and entrepreneurs to apply.”

Launched only 3 years ago the venue is a great opportunity for Conservatives to express their commitment to business while highlighting brilliant entrepreneurial ideas growing in the UK.  Last year’s winner was ACEON a provider of Solar power projects.  This year’s winner of the Start Up Hub competition is equity crowdfunding operator Crowdcube.
