White label crowdfunding software provider CommunityLeader and IRA Services Trust Company have partnered to offer the Crowdfund IRA. This self-directed IRA product allows individuals a new way to invest in securities-based crowdfunding ventures using their retirement funds in a compliant and transparent manner.
“We’re excited about participating as the custodian of the Crowdfund IRA,” said Gary Shumm, Vice President, IRA Services Trust Company. “This unique introductory self-directed IRA gives any qualified individual the opportunity to open a new IRA or use their existing one to invest in a business that they know and like with the possibility of helping their retirement.”
“The Crowdfund IRA is a great addition to CommunityLeader’s suite of portal products and services,” said Joseph Barisonzi, CEO of CommunityLeader. “We look forward to working very closely with IRA Services to help educate anyone who has the financial ability to open an IRA and invest in an opportunity of their choice — big or small — to utilize Crowdfund IRA and reap the deferred tax benefits associated with their other individual retirement plan investments.”
“As the main point guy for our portfolio of custodial services, it’s critical that we get up to speed in meeting the market demand for new investment tools”, stated Michael McNair, Trust Officer, IRA Services Trust Company. “The Crowdfund IRA is an excellent introductory product for investors to get their feet wet with the self-directed process and upgrade at a later date to an expanded-service IRA.”
For over 30 years, IRA Services has been offering self-directed retirement accounts giving their 40,000+ clients more choices, more control for a better retirement. IRA Services Trust Company is a non-depository trust company regulated by the State of South Dakota’s Division of Banking and authorized to act as custodian of self-directed retirement accounts including the effective facilitation of the Crowdfund IRA.
