Crowdfunding Platform Brings Horse Racing, Horse Ownership to the Crowd

Crowd Racing HorsesCrowd Racing Aims to Disrupt Racing Horse Ownership. Partners with Crowdcube.

Launched this past November, Crowd Racing claims to be the first ever crowdfunding platform exclusively for racehorse ownership.  Crowd Racing wants to bring the “Sport of Kings” to the crowd by allowing owners to purchase shares, along with trainers, anywhere in the United Kingdom.  Owners may also build their own “stable” of horses in which they hold equity.

Crowd RacingCrowd Racing has entered into a technology partnership with leading equity crowdfunding platform Crowdcube to power the site.  Crowd Racing states that, “Crowdcube is the next generation of business investment. Crowd Racing will be the next generation of racehorse ownership”.

The idea of shared ownership is not original in horse racing. Partnerships, syndicates and racing clubs have been popular for many years now but we feel there is a demand for an alternative.

HFR CrowdracingPartnerships and syndicates have restrictions on the numbers of owners allowed and therefore to get involved can become expensive. Racing clubs can be more cost-effective but they do not offer genuine ownership; you are a member of a club and don’t always qualify for prize money or ownership benefits.

Crowd Racing allows the benefits of all the existing channels but with the ability to get involved at a lower cost and yet still be a genuine owner; with owner benefits and a share of prize money and a share of any proceeds from the sale of your horse.

Working with some of the best trainers in the UK, including Nigel Twiston-Davies, Jeremy Gask, Fergal O’Brien, Dan Kubler,Nick Alexander and Keith Dalgleish, Crowd Racing offers the opportunity for anyone interested in owning shares in a racehorse with a top trainer to do so at an affordable price.

Craig McKennaCraig McKenna of Crowd Racing said, “This is an exciting new platform, the popularity of crowdfunding continues to grow at an amazing rate and the potential of a crowdfunding platform exclusively for racehorses is brilliant.”

Eamonn Wilmott of Horses First Racing said, “Along with our trainer, Jeremy Gask, Horses First Racing are always at the forefront of the latest training technologies and the use of sports sciences so we were delighted to be able to get involved with Crowd Racing.”
