SunFunder, a crowdlending platform that connects investors with affordable solar technology projects in off-grid communities around the world is looking to add more solar partners in 2014.
To date the crowdfunding platform has partnered with 8 solar companies that have operations in the Philippines, Zambia, Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania. These partners include:

- SunnyMoney
- Angaza Design
- smallsolutions
- Zamsolar
- Fenix International
- SolarNow
- Global Cycle Solutions
Sunfunder is looking for solar companies that are in need of debt financing for the business to scale. SunFunder has a page on their site that outlines the selection process and the due diligence involved in accepting a new partner. The platform currently is focusing on Africa but is interested in growing in other under-developed communities in Asia, Latin-America and the Caribbean.
SunFunder facilitated $376,000 in solar investments with a 100% repayment rate. Investors currently do not receive interest payments but only repayment of principle but the company is working on making SunFunder an investment platform.
