Worth Foundation crowdfunding campaign to raise funds on Seedrs as part of a competition to find the best young retail / e-commerce business in the United Kingdom now stands at just under £300,000. The original target of raising £200,o00 was easily beaten in the first few days of offering the fund on the equity crowdunding site. The project is in partnership with Metro Newspapers, Seedrs and Worth Foundation.
The deadline for entries is March 7th. On March 14th the top 20 businesses will be notified. The list will be narrowed until April 4th where a winner and two runners up will be selected and prizes awarded.
To date over 300 companies have submitted applications. From the investor side, over 250 investors from more than ten different countries have contributed to the Worth Foundation Fund.
With £300,000 being the new target for the fund the winner will receive £150,000 and the two runners up will each receive £75000 each. The top three will also receive some serious advice and mentoring from retail experts who will help “turbo charge their path to success”.
